Tri-Eagle was founded in 1980 by Spencer Lee, whose early work in real estate naturally evolved into a passion for development. The company began with a small condominium project in Sidney and grew through joint ventures that helped shape communities across Greater Victoria — most notably in Broadmead and Royal Oak.

The name Tri-Eagle was inspired by Spencer’s years living in Banff, where three surrounding ski hills — Norquay, Lake Louise and Sunshine — formed a natural triangle around the town. That landscape inspired the company’s name and its signature three-ring logo. From the beginning, Spencer built
Tri-Eagle on the values of respect and honesty — principles that continue to guide the company today as it builds for the future.
